STAND IN THE GAP
Most veteran nonprofits count the veterans they serve. We measure how well we serve them. In 2026, MVP is expanding — new programs, more veterans, and families who need us too. None of it happens without consistent support.

IMPACT LEVELS
When you give to Montana Vet Program, your support translates directly into real experiences for veterans in Montana’s backcountry. Every dollar funds meals, gear, lodging, and training — ensuring cost is never a barrier for those who’ve already given so much in service.
Here’s what your investment makes possible:
$25
Field Fuel
Covers meals and hydration for one veteran on the river or trail. A single day of nourishment keeps them moving, connecting, and thriving in the wild.
$100
GEAR DROP
Provides essential equipment — from shelters and packs to safety gear and tools. With quality gear, veterans can focus on the mission, not the obstacles.
$500
FULL KIT
Equips a veteran with everything needed for a four-day float or hike trip: food, pack, shelter, instruction, and support. This gift ensures a complete experience without financial barriers.
$1500
LOGISTICS
Funds an entire trip day for a group of veterans, including food, logistics, safety, and instruction. Every mile rowed or hiked that day exists because of your generosity.

WHY THESE TOOLS?
We don’t just take veterans outside — we equip them for life after the wilderness. Breathwork to control anxiety. Yoga and fitness to rebuild the body. Nutrition to fuel the mind. Conversations that cut through silence. Your gift puts these tools in their hands, tools that last long after the trip ends.

JOIN THE MISSION MONTHLY
One-time gifts make our trips possible. Monthly gifts keep them sustainable. By committing to a monthly donation, you’re standing shoulder-to-shoulder with veterans year-round — ensuring there’s always food packed, gear ready, and a place in the Montana backcountry waiting.
Here’s what your investment makes possible:
$25/MO
SCOUT
Provides consistent nutrition and hydration for veterans across every trip, ensuring they always have what they need to keep moving.
$50/MO
OUTFITTER
Keeps veterans supplied with the small but essential items — from socks and stove fuel to replacement parts — that make trips comfortable and safe.
$100/MO
PATHFINDER
Covers the equivalent of one full backcountry trip experience for a veteran each year. Month by month, you’re ensuring a seat on the raft or a place on the trail.
$250/MO
COMMANDER
Funds food, lodging, and logistics for multiple veterans throughout the year. You’re sustaining the mission at scale, trip after trip, season after season.

How the Montana Vet Program Is Different
WE DON'T WANT TO HELP THE MOST VETERANS. WE WANT TO HELP VETERANS THE MOST

UNMATCHED LEADERSHIP
Our team leaders are combat-tested and overqualified — Green Berets, Marine snipers, SERE trainers, survival experts, and seasoned outdoor professionals. Veterans learn from those they trust most.

THE BEST TRAINING GROUND
Montana’s backcountry is as unforgiving as it is healing. Remote rivers, rugged trails, and wild terrain provide the perfect place to test skills and rediscover strength.

LOW RATIO, HIGH IMPACT
We keep our participant-to-leader ratio no higher than two veterans to one leader. That level of attention means no one slips through the cracks, and every veteran gets the connection, mentorship, and support they deserve.

WHOLE PERSON TRAINING
Every trip goes beyond hiking or rafting. We integrate breathwork, cold-water immersion, yoga, fitness, nutrition, and honest conversation about the struggles veterans carry home.

THE BEST GEAR
Outfitted with elite equipment from our mission partners, veterans are given the tools they need to succeed without distraction or failure points.

ADDRESSING RED FLAGS
Isolation, withdrawal, and loss of purpose are warning signs that can spiral into tragedy. We confront those head-on by building community, restoring confidence, and creating tools that last long after the trip.
CONSERVATION IMPACT

Your donation doesn’t just help veterans — it protects Montana’s public lands. Our teams clear trails, maintain campsites, remove invasive species, and help keep the Smith River and backcountry open for everyone.

Certified. Trusted. Mission-Ready.
As a veteran-led nonprofit operating in rugged Montana backcountry, trust and legitimacy are everything. We’re proud to have earned the 2025 Silver Seal of Transparency from Candid, meaning we share our mission, leadership, and financials openly for donors to see. We’re also PsychArmor Veteran‑Ready Certified, equipping our team with proven training in military culture and suicide awareness. On top of that, we hold the America’s Warrior Partnership Community Integration Competency Certification, ensuring we connect veterans to the community with effective, trusted service. These aren’t just badges—they’re promise that MVP is mission-aligned, effective, and transparent by design.
